Due to circumtances beyond control, the date of this year’s American Cancer Society Relay For Life event has changed. Originally scheduled for Friday June 15th – Saturday June 16th, the event will now begin on Saturday evening, June 16th and end early morning Sunday June 17th. The Relay For Life committee apploogizes for any inconvenience this date change will cause, and hopes that our teams and participants will still be able to attend. The event location will remain the same, at Don Ahern Veterans Stadium at Bayonne High School in Bayonne. Relay For Life is the signature event of the American Cancer Society and the largest fundraiser in the world. An overnight event to increase awarenessof prevention & detection of the disease while raising funds for cancer research. An evening of progress and hope, Relay For Life celebrates survivors, remembers loved ones lost and helps people fight back against cancer. Relay For Life teams fundraise leading up to the event and then camp out and take turns walking around a track all night long making the statement that cancer never sleeps so neither will we. The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated. At Relay, every person in the community has a chance to celebrate, remember, and fight back.
