I would like the Hudson reporter to look into and write an article about the North Bergen Police Departments work schedule. Our police officers are working on an around the shift schedule. Their shifts constantly rotate from 8-4 to 4-12 to 12-8. This around the clock schedule has been abandoned by almost every police department in New Jersey due to the adverse effects it has on a person's health and well being. NBPD is putting our police at risk by not giving them a set schedule where their bodies can rest and have a normal sleep pattern. Many if not all of the officers that work this schedule have to take sleeping pills to be able to get rest and sometimes stay up for ore than 24 hours just to reset themselves. This is obviously dangerous for a police officer but also for the community of North Bergen. Please look into rhis matter further. It's time we do what is right for our boys in blue and our community.

Dear Sir:

My wife and I have been married for 31 years.

Before she met me she was married to an alcoholic who abused her physically. She found the courage

to escape his abuse.

Now, she has written a booklet titled: Saving my Sister. It is basically a “how to” manual on how to escape an abusive marriage.

The message of the booklet is clear: Find the strength to leave.

Thank you,

Wayne Adams

i'd like to know the status and what exactly occurred with WNY's Building Dept. Head & Board member, Franco Zanardelli. seems he must have cooperated and agreed to just the 1 count presented to stay clear of anything else...

have not heard a thing.

what went down? "allegedly"
