NORTH BERGEN - Steven Somick Jr., a member of the North Bergen Gators Swim Team, will compete in the Junior Olympics at Rutgers University. Somick qualified for six events in his age group -- the 100 meter freestyle, 200 meter freestyle, 200 meter individual medley, 100 meter butterfly, 50 meter butterfly and 50 meter backstroke. The Junior Olympics will be held this Saturday, July 28.
Somick is a student at Robert Fulton School and the son of North Bergen School Business Administrator Steven Somick.
