NEW JERSEY -- The New Jersey State Police have issued a rare weather-related alert, warning people about the remnants of Hurricane Isaac.

The advisory said: "Issac remnants will impact NJ thru [Wednesday]. Flash flood advisories, watches, warnings all over. Info at: http://www.weather.gov/phi. Be alert for ponded water on the roadways, a frequent result of flash flooding. Do not try to drive or walk through standing water. Turn Around, Don't Drown. http://tadd.weather.gov/tadd-intro.shtml .
