Dear Editor:

There are angels among us! Over the Christmas holiday Hoboken University Medical Center Pediatric Unit received many “Santa” visits. A special thank you to: Mr. Orlando Abreu, Ms. Marjorie Bingham and 2 helpers, Ms. Bishop Roberson from the Evangelical Gospel Tabernacle Church of Bayonne, Hoboken Charter School 9th grade classes, Hoboken Fire Department, Hoboken Police Department, Hoboken Resident Rocco Riccardi and friends, Hudson County Sheriff’s Office, Mr. Joseph McNamara from the Christian Church of Bayonne, Members of the Episcopal Church of Bayonne, North Hudson Regional Fire Department, Port Authority Police, Wallace School 5th grade classes.

Some of our employees entertained the patients on their units with holiday songs, Steven’s Cooperative School made beautiful get-well cards, St. Anthony’s High School “Mistletones” accompanied by Robert Meyers on the piano entertained in our main lobby.

On behalf of our patients and staff, I want to thank all those that made the holiday cheerful for our patients. I apologize to anyone I had neglected to mention but please know that we are grateful to everyone.

Healthy, Happy New Year to All!
Dorothy DeMauro
