To the Editor:
I want to begin with thanking President Barack Obama, who came in to survey and assist the damage not just for the state, but also for our neighboring states as well.
I would also like to thank Gov. Chris Christie for his tremendous effort for being kind, caring and compassionate to the people of the state of New Jersey with your help and trying to keep us all safe.
I want to extend many thanks to our Mayor Mark Smith. I am thanking you for your compassion, keeping the City of Bayonne safe, and also informing the people of Bayonne with your phone calls due to Hurricane Sandy. Also thank you for volunteering yourself.
Many thanks to our Fire Department and Police Department for the fantastic job that they did this time and still continue to do.
I want to thank all of the utility workers who came in from other states to volunteer with helping out our utility workers in getting the power back to the City of Bayonne.
I don’t want to forget to sway thanks to all who worked and volunteered setting up shelters to keep us warm and also for the distribution of food and water.
