BAYONNE – Bayonne Fire Department official took possession of its most advanced piece of fire fighting on Monday.

The 75-foot mid-Mount Ladder Tower Platform Truck, which replaces a 22-year-old Ariel Platform at the 4th Street fire house, cost $848,177, most of which was paid for by a federal grant. The city had to pay a 25 percent of the total cost.

“This vehicle has everything,” said Public Safety Director Jason O’Donnell. “And it is built for durability.”
