A funeral took place March 4 for Harry Arthur Anderson, 63, of East Windsor. He passed away Feb. 26. He was born in Jersey City and was a lifelong resident of Weehawken moving to East Windsor 10 years ago. Harry was a sports celebrity in Hudson County as a star basketball player for Weehawken High School, Jacksonville University and St. Peter’s College. He was given All County and All State honors in High School and was eventually named to the Weehawken High, St. Peter’s College and Hudson County Halls of Fame. He was a police officer for the Port of Authority for 24 years retiring in 1999. He will be greatly missed by his many close friends and comrades of the Port Authority Police Department. Harry was the husband of Rhoda Anderson (nee: Johnson). He was the brother of Diane Bollerman and Husband Tom as well as the uncle of Jen Bollerman Becker, Jeffrey Christian Bollerman and Thomas Harry Bollerman. He was also survived by many cousins. Services arranged by the Leber Funeral Home, Union City.
