A funeral mass took place Sept. 1 at St. John the Baptist, Jersey City, for Jeanne Aragona of Jersey City. She passed away at the Van Dyke Hospice in Toms River on Aug. 29. Born in Jersey City, Jeanne remained a lifelong resident where she was an active parishioner of St. John the Baptist Church. She served as the coordinator of the Daily Adoration as well as leading an active role in the annual Divine Mercy Liturgy. She was the past president (2005 2007) of the Hudson Artists of New Jersey, Inc. and a member of the 9/11 Committee.

Jeanne worked as an Administrative Assistant for Daynard and Van Thusen Insurance Adjustors until retiring in 1998. Jeanne is predeceased by her brothers, Sal, Alfred, Theodore and Anthony Aragona and brother in law Ray Ciampaglia. She is survived by her brother Joseph Aragona, sister Marie Sorbera and her husband Sal, sister Tina Ciampaglia, sister in law Rose Aragona and many nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
