To the Editor:

The “Thin Blue Line” was out in full force on January 9.

Twenty-nine Law Enforcement Agents were present at All Saints Catholic Academy in honor of Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.

The moms, dads, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors and friends of ASCA students and staff who are involved in public service and safety, were honored at an assembly.

Representatives from the Bayonne Police Department, Jersey City PD, New York/New Jersey Port Authority PD, Hoboken PD, Hudson County Sheriff, Englewood PD, and Hudson County Correction Officers were present. As well as; Mayor Davis, and Councilmen: Gullace, La Pelusa, and Perez.

The student body expressed their appreciation to these and all officers in prayer, song, video, and word.

Officers were presented with the prayer of St. Michael to carry with them to remind them that the ASCA family “sees you, appreciates you, and respects you”.

At the conclusion of the program, all guests were treated to brunch.

It was indeed a privilege to recognize the bravery, honor, and integrity that is shown by our local law enforcement officers.
