At Don Ahearn’s Veteran field with representatives from Major League Baseball’s Tomorrow Fund, which donated the equipment to Bayonne, are Cathy Bradley, executive director of the Baseball Tomorrow Fund, along with her assistants, Elizabeth and Jessica, Director of Municipal Services Joe Waks, Supervisor of Recreation Pete Amadeo, Third-Ward Councilman Ray Greaves, and Public Works Employees, Greg Semanchik, Rich Malia, and PePe Smith, at the new batting cage at Veterans Stadium. The Baseball Tomorrow Fund (BTF) is a joint initiative between the Major League Baseball Players Association and Major League Baseball. BTF promotes the growth of youth baseball and softball throughout the world by awarding grants to support field renovation and construction projects, equipment and uniform purchases, coaches’ training material, and other program expenses.
