Funeral services were held April 29 at Monumental Baptist Church, Jersey City, for Queen Elizabeth Burgess. She passed away April 20 at the Margaret Anna Cusack Care Center, Jersey City. She was born in Chatham, Va. to the late Charlie and Esther Fuller. She was the wife of the late Benjamin J. Burgess. Queen was employed with the Jersey City Board of Education as a School Bus Aide for many years. Surviving to cherish her memory are eight sons, Benjamin (Sadijah), Arthur (Dainette), Michael (Barbara), Keith (Zakee Hameed) (Pat), Gary (Deborah), Brent (Angela), Darrin Burgess (Maella), and Lance Burgess; two daughters, Debra Johnson (Raymond) and Sherry Rush (Raymond) and the late Sharon Russell; sister of the late Ester Fuller, Betty Brooks and Callie Pannell; sister in law of Jessie Burgess, Johnny Tucker, Marie and Debra Burgess and the late Alice Richardson, Lillian McNeal, James and Inez Burgess; grandmother of 25 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren, son in law Brad Russell; honored friend of Marion and Charles Fowler; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and the Monumental Baptist Church family. Services arranged by the Jackson Funeral Residence, Jersey City.
