Funeral services have been held for Sam Canzano, 95, of Jupiter Fla., formerly of Weehawken. He passed away July 18. He was born in Jersey City to the late Salvatore and Teresa Canzano. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps, serving in the Atlantic and Pacific theaters during WWII. Sam worked for the NJ Transit for many years. He also worked as a dispatcher with Hackensack Medical Center and retired when he was 82 years old. In honor of his long-term employment, his badge was retired with him. Sam was predeceased by seven of his siblings, his former wife Martha Jane Martinez, his fiance Margaret Mclaughlin Rossi and his son-in-law Dennis Hanvey. Survivors include his daughters, Sharon (Alan) Williams and Andrea Hanvey; his sister Adeline Roche and five grandsons, Christian and Gabriel Neeriemer, Richard, Michael and Kyle Hanvey, several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
