Robert Anthony d’Amico, 73, passed away June 26. He was born to Alice Kearins d’Amico and Michael G. d’Amico. Rob attended Hoboken elementary and Weehawken high school with a brief stint at Cardinal Farley Military Academy. He graduated from the University of Dayton with a degree in engineering and then served as a lieutenant in the US Army Corps of Engineers in Vietnam for three years. Upon his return, he worked in engineering at General Motors in Dayton, Ohio, General Dynamics in Groton, Conn., and several companies in northern New Jersey. Rob lived in Hoboken for the majority of his life where he spent lots of time looking for parking. He spent summers in East Durham, New York caring for property owned by the family since the 1930s. There he spent many happy days mowing fields, cutting brush and maintaining machinery. A man of many interests and talents, Rob’s hobbies included playing several instruments, photography, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. He is survived by his brother, Michael Francis d’Amico and wife Patricia Mullen d’Amico of Akron, Ohio; his niece and family, Alyse d’Amico, Christopher Goff, Thomas Michael Goff, and Robert Maxwell Goff of Watertown, MA; and many friends.
