Funeral services were held Sept. 6 for Antonia (Tonie) DeJesus of Jersey City. She passed away Sept. 4 surrounded by her family. Tonie was the mother of Theresa Middlebrooks, Angel Brana, Norma Brana-Perez, Doris Brana Rivera, Rose Marie Haslinger, Joseph Brana and her deceased son, Michael Brana. Tonie also enjoyed and loved all of her children-in-law, Michael, Sonia, Elvis, Ray, John and Walta. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Candice, Marlo, Kenneth, Melissa, Rene, Vanessa, Paul, Michael, Nicole, Mariah, Kristina and her many great grandchildren. Because of Tonie’s passion and love for children she thoroughly enjoyed her career as a teacher’s aide, where she helped educate many young children in NY. She also worked at Miami General Hospital where she helped nursed many patients to good health. Tonie also delighted in visiting various Bingo Halls to see her many friends and have a good time.
