Funeral mass took place May 29 at Assumption All Saints Church, Jersey City, for Michael James Harrison. He passed away May 22 at the Jersey City Medical Center. He was born in Jersey City to the late John H. Harrison and the late Blanche De Conto Harrison. Michael was preceded in death by his only daughter, Amanda Christine Harrison as well as his mother, father and brothers John H. Jr., Charles J. and Stewart Harrison. Michael leaves to cherish his precious memory his wife, Julie Cyn Harrison; special cousin Bonita Brooks; special aunt, Carol Bullock and a host of aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, sisters and brothers in law.

Michael was raised in the Catholic faith. He attended All Saints School and Church. He graduated from Jersey Academy in 1972. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his country and courageously until his honorable discharge on April 19, 1978.

Michael became a hero serving as a Jersey City Firefighter. He was fearless. He did what he did best for almost 20 years. He retired his bravery at the fire department but never in life! Services arranged by the Jackson Funeral Residence, Jersey City.
