I encourage all my fellow citizens to vote for Ines Garcia Keim in the Democratic primary for Freeholder on Tuesday, June 3. I will be voting for Ines and I have been working as her treasurer during this campaign season. Many of us spend much time volunteering to make our community a better place in which to live. Ines has done that for years and is now trying to put some of her talents to use as a County Freeholder.
Freeholders essentially distribute money. The County budget is approaching half a billion dollars per year. This is on top of the City, State, and Board of Education budget. One would think that our streets would be paved with gold! Ines has pledged that she will work to prevent wasted tax dollars. To illustrate this point Ines has refused to accept the County car that all Freeholders are given.
Ines will dedicate all of her time to this position. Her two opponents both hold seats on the School Board and one is a police officer and the other is a developer. Ines has no conflicts of interest. She works hard on community issues and is has no "other employers" or entanglements that might control her vote. As opposed to listing Ines' position on various issues I invite you to do a little homework before you vote.
