Dear Editor:

[In response to statements made by Louise Rittberg in a Sept. 29th story: September 11 Memorial Remembered].

"Where is this Pearl Harbor Memorial in Secaucus that we remember on December 7th? Did we forget what December 7th, 1941 was all about? A survivor of that attack, Louis Markisello, lived in Secaucus and died in 2000.

Many who observed the World Trade Center memorial in front of the new library expressed total dissatisfaction. Since it was a local dedication to our victims, names of only our town officials should appear.

The story of history and quotes were felt to be too long and wordy, needing to come to the point with the facts.

The focus is the victims but no reference was made to age and who they left behind. Haste makes waste."
