Dear Editor:
After 20 years living in Hoboken this is the first time I find myself writing to the Hoboken Reporter. I have never written about an election or a city council candidate, until now. I am writing to spread the word about 6th Ward council candidate Jen Giattino. Instead of rattling off a list of her accomplishments or community activities, I would like to focus instead on what I think is so important to the people of Hoboken today: Character. I have come to know my neighbor Jen well over the years. She is honest, caring and will be incredibly hard working for the people of the 6th Ward and of all of Hoboken. She is a doer who is involved and out in the community. She has no hidden agenda. She wants what we all want for Hoboken: clean parks, safe streets, better parking solutions, a fiscally responsible government, lower taxes. Most importantly, her heart is in the right place. She is running for council because she wants to help the people in her community and make Hoboken a better place. She is not driven by power or personal gain and glory. She is the type of person we all say we want our politicians to be instead of the ones we have. Now is your chance to do something about it! Care enough about your community to vote on May 10. Vote for Jen Giattino.
Thank you,
Andrea Hession
