A funeral mass was offered April 5 at St. Ann’s R.C. Church, Hoboken, for Edward Anthony McLaughlin, Jr., 46, a lifelong Hoboken resident. He passed away April 1 at Hoboken University Medical Center. Edward worked diligently for some twenty years at Community Enterprise in Jersey City. He was an avid participant of the Hoboken Olympics for Special People started by his mother in 1982. Edward had a great affection for Elvis Presley and rock and roll music of the 1950s. He was also an enthusiastic fan of the WWE world wrestling federation.

He will be enormously missed by his parents, Edward and Carole McLaughlin; and his two sisters and brothers-in-law, Kerri Cartnick and her husband Lou, Kelly Gaudio and her husband John. A great joy in his life were his nieces and nephews, Makayla, Jack, Anne, and John Paul. A special love was shared with his late grandmothers, Nana (Anne) McLaughlin and Ruth Bloomquist; as well as his aunts and uncles, Barbara and Ralph Chase, his best buddy Uncle Bill, Doris, Karen, and Marge McLaughlin, the late Tom, Jack, and Joe McLaughlin, and Beverly Lohman. A host of cousins also survive him, especially acknowledging Christine and Frank Koelsch. Services arranged by the Failla Funeral Home, Hoboken.
