Funeral services have been held for Bertha M. O’Halloran, 91. She passed away at her Jersey City residence on March 21. Born in New Bedford, Mass. while her father served in WWI, the family relocated to Jersey City when she was a child and she has remained a citizen ever since. Bertha was the valedictorian of her Dickinson High School class. She went to work for NY Telephone where she rose from telephone operator to serve as secretary to the president before retiring at age of 62. She was predeceased by her husband Jack O’Halloran; parents, Robert M. and Bertha Miller, brothers; Robert Jack and Walter. She is survived by her brothers Alfred and Richard W. Miller (ret. JCPD) and a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews all whom she loved but are too numerous to mention. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
