Rudy Garcia is also a graduate of Columbia University in New York with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics, and a graduate of New York University School of Law and passed the Bar both in New York and New Jersey! Garcia now works for the Trenton, New Jersey firm of MBI-Gluck Shaw, LLC., a government relations organization, where as a lawyer, he also performs as a lobbyist. Garcia lobbies for a wide range of issues such as banking and pharmaceuticals, and his company represents such clients like Pepsi Cola and Sprint! Aside from now spending more time with his family, his lovely wife Nicole has a career of her own, as she is the President of Harrison LTD., an insurance and adjusting consulting firm in Jersey City. His daughter Andrea is 6 years old, and he just enjoys watching her grow up! In the past when Garcia was the Treasurer of the New Jersey State Democratic Party, and the co-chair of the United States Senate Campaign for present Governor Jon Corzine of Hoboken, Garcia makes it known that his family comes first, before all else!
Garcia does reminisce about his days when he received the New Jersey Education Association Legislator of the Year Award, the Emerging Political Leader Award in 1999, and was a member of the National Council of State Legislators, but he is presently very proud of memberships in the North Hudson Kiwanis Club, the West New York Lions Club and the Hoboken B.P.O. Elks Lodge in Hoboken. Rudy Garcia is very proud to state that he is a member also of National Council of Christians and Jews!
Garcia tells us that he now also spends more time with his lovely mother Hortensia, his father William, and two older brothers Frank and Pepi. Garcia also coaches his daughter Andrea in Tee-Ball/Base Ball in Jersey City, and unknown to most people, Garcia is also an "Expert" in Akido Karate, where he learned the art at their former school in Guttenberg, and he now coaches his daughter in this sport, too!
A sports fan, Garcia also finds time to play golf, and watch baseball, football and basketball on TV, and in person! As for politics, Rudy Garcia says that the only campaign he will ever enter into personally in the future will be when his darling daughter Andrea runs for the office of governor herself, and she will win, Garcia exclaims!!!
However, there is a question to be asked. Our Political Columnist Al Sullivan recently stated that Jersey City Councilman and Hudson County Executive's Office Chief of Staff William Gaughan recently called Rudy Garcia "his son!!!" What gives??? Garcia chuckled and said: Yes, Bill Gaughan is my father, too!! Humor wins the day! All the best!!!...
Former Senior Citizen of the Year John Dudsak of Guttenberg, a former policeman, tells us that after approximately a decade, he is happy to see his lovely wife Ann T. Dudsak follow in his footsteps as the recent Town Senior Citizen of the Year Awardee! Ms. Ann Dudsak, who is the retired Chief Executive Office of the North Hudson Community Action Corporation program, tells us that this is another feather in her CAP, if you excuse the pun!!! Ms. Dudsak also is proud to be an awardee along with other deserving awardees of their municipalities such as: Thomas Barrett of Union City, Lucila Hernandez of West New York, Joyce Schaible of North Bergen, Evelyn Baecker of Weehawken and Frances Verpent of Secaucus, all from the North Hudson County municipalities herein listed! Congratulations to all!!!...
Newly Ordained Priest, Rev. Zeljko Guberovic, a native of Koprivnicia, Croatia, completed his field assignment at Saint Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church in Union City where he celebrated his first Holy Mass of Thanksgiving recently...
Two Immaculate Conception School students from Secaucus, Jane Gallagher and Justin Valiente, both participated in the Otto The Auto safety program when "Otto" visited the school recently to discuss pedestrian safety. Safety is always first!!!... And so it goes...until next time...see you around town...
