I would like to take the opportunity to personally say thank you to Vincent J. Barbo, Director of Senior Citizens Programs for the efficient and professional manner in which he handled OpSail 2000 from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m on the July 4th weekend. His concern and compassion for the elderly was extraordinary.
He was readily available to assist them in every way possible from seating and directions to the different festivities scheduled for the day. His patience and personality are to be commended. Last but not least the magnificent tribute to our nation when he sang the Star Spangled Banner followed by God Bless America reminding us what a beautiful free country we live in. Mr. Barbo, thank you from senior citizens who appreciate all that you have done for us the past 25 years with you at the helm. May God bless and keep you healthy. We need you.
