To the Editor:

Recently, the residents of 16th Street, between Avenue C and Kennedy Boulevard, held a wonderful block party, to which the chairpersons of the Assumption Food Pantry were invited. In addition to having a terrific time, a 50/50 was held in order to help the O.L.A. food pantry.

We would like to extend our most sincere thanks to the residents, family, and friends of 16th Street for raising over $150 for our pantry! A very special thanks must go out to our own guardian angel, Billy Kellner, who organized and ran the 50/50. Billy is always “looking out for our backs” and makes it his personal mission to help the poor and needy whenever possible.
