Funeral services were held Jan. 8 at Old Bergen Church, Jersey City, for James Gavin Williams. He passed away at Jersey City Medical Center on Jan. 2. Born in Guyana, he came to the United States in 1986, living first in Brooklyn before settling in Jersey City. A graduate of Dickinson High School, James was Assistant Manager of Lumber Liquidators.

James is survived by his wife, Denisia Williams; daughter, Victoria S. Williams; son, James C.I. Williams; parents, Isaac and Zenny Williams; sisters, Jennifer, Selena, Deborah, Sandra and Petal; brother, Michael, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and friends too numerous to mention but all important to him.
