HOBOKEN -- Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer is facing a bit of a political dilemma. For county freeholder representing her town, does she endorse a blogger who supports her, or the incumbent who is much more likely to win but who has been criticized by several of her allies?

Zimmer's staying out of it. According to the Hoboken Reporter story this weekend, she said she's not endorsing anyone, and declined to elaborate.

Incumbent Anthony Romano faces blogger Kurt Gardiner in the race.

Gardiner has a response about Zimmer's lack of endorsement.

I don't think anyone including Kurt Gardiner would put his odds of winning against the County political bosses who placed Anthony (Stick) Romano unopposed on the ballot.

Mr, Gardiner has been very open about why he is on the ballot and that was to give the voters an option.

Mr. Romano refusal to debate the issues does not reflect well on him.

Voting for Mr. Gardiner will send a clear message that Hobokenshould not continue to be given short shift.

I think that would be a very good reason to vote for Kurt Gardnier for Freeholder.

how do we know zimmer isn't supporting romano? her silence is like support. yet her friends want people to vote for gardiner.

truth is she is not supporting gardiner publicly because she fears he will lose. thats politics for you. if she is against romanos decisions shouldnt she publicly come out against him? if she is a typical politician that is fine but just say it.

On other sites Mr.Gardiner has said he never asked to be endorsed by Mayor Zimmer but that Mr. Romano "begged" for her endorsement.

Conversely if Mayor Zimmer is not supporting Romano why should we ?

The other question is why has Mr. Romano refused to debate the issues ?

Voting for Kurt Gardiner for Freeholder will send a message that Hoboken voters should not be taken for granted by the Countyand want their fair share of County taxes returned to Hoboken.

Voting for Kurt Gardnier for Freeholder would send a clear message to the County Bosses that the residents of Hoboken can no longer be taken for granted or taken advantage of.

She may refuse to endorse publicly, but she sent her "confidential aide" to Romano's fundraiser with a check.

She knows Gardiner is a joke and just uses him.

While the mayor is not involved i this race, here's one way to vote for Freeholder. Beth Mason responsible for the destruction of city workers jobs due to her petty vindictive actions blowing a budget hole for Hoboken by the millions, who is she supporting?

Beth Mason is backing Freeholder Romano. So let's just vote the other way.

It's a simple formula that is good for Hoboken and its City workers too. Sadly it's too late for so many of them for no good reason.

Mason joined with Russo, Castellano and Occhipinti to sabotage Hoboken. Now it will cost people their jobs.

Kurt Gardnier is certainly a long shot to be elected Freeholder has stepped up to challenge Anthony Romanno. Hudson County political bosses chose Anthony Rommano and until Gardnier put his hat into the race they expected to run unopposed.

So far Mr. Rommano refused to debate the issues face to face Mr. Gardnier and has a reported political campain war chest of $70,000.00.

Those in Hoboken who are not happy with Mr. Rommano and his political friends Castellano, Mason,Russo,Occhipinti can send a clear message by voting for Mr. Gardnier.

Not true. Zimmertinis, Zimmeristas, green koolaid, Lenz, Lenz, Lenz! Zimmer has secretly given Kurt a bazillion dollars. Some say as much as a gazillion dollars. Lenz, Lenz, Lenz.

There, now the usual cranks can stay in bed a little later. Your welcome.
