Town meeting rescheduled
Next week’s Town Council meeting, originally scheduled for Wednesday at 7 p.m., has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 7 p.m., in the second floor council chambers.
UBS Atrium Series to hold holiday concert
On Wednesday, Dec. 14, the Hudson Riverfront Performing Arts Center, Inc. will hold a holiday concert featuring the Arcadia Brass Quintet as part of its series of free lunchtime concerts in the Atrium at 1000 Harbor Blvd. on the Weehawken waterfront.
The concert series is sponsored in part by The Hudson Reporter.

Woman’s Club to bake cookies for needy
The Woman’s Club of Weehawken will hold their annual Cookie Packing Evening on Monday, Dec. 12. at 6 p.m. at the Senior Nutrition Center, 201 Highwood Ave.

Santa mailbox at Town Hall; Santa to visit Weehawken High School
Santa Claus is set to visit Weehawken High School on Friday, Dec. 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Weehawken children between the ages of one and 10 and their families are welcome to meet Santa and his helpers.
Children are also invited to bring their letters to Santa to a special mailbox set up at Weehawken’s Town Hall through Dec. 18.
Weehawken High School is located at 53 Liberty Pl., and Town Hall is located at 400 Park Ave.
Weehawken Police Benevolent Association to hold toy drive
“Cops for Tots,” run by the Weehawken Police Benevolent Association, will hold its fifth annual toy drive from Dec. 4 through 16 to benefit Hudson County agencies such as the Department of Youth and Family Services, and the Palisades Medical Center and Hoboken University Medical Center.
PBA Local 15 members Kayte Brancaccio and Brian Mera will run the drive along with Weehawken Volunteer First Aid Squad’s Numargo Vasquez. Director of Public Safety Jeff Welz will offer the police department and the ambulance buildings as drop off locations. Weehawken High School Peer Leadership students, Swatch Group, UBS, and Hartz Mountain are among the contributing donors.
The PBA requests the donation of new, unwrapped toys for male or female children, newborn to 15 years of age. The Weehawken Police Department at 400 Park Ave. and the Weehawken Volunteer First Aid Squad at 201 Highwood Ave. are accepting the donations.
