Dinners will be able choose from a selection of discounted prixe fixe dinner menus at City Bistro (56 14th Street) and Trinity (306 Sinatra Drive), or take 15 percent off entrées at Baja (104 14th Street) and Helmer's (1036 Washington St.), just to name a few of the specials offered. Several restaurants will also offer their walls to display the works of local artists.
The Artists Studio Tour, which is sponsored by the Hoboken Reporter, gives the public the opportunity to visit the studios, galleries and work spaces of the city's best and most recognizable artists, photographers, sculptors and artisans. This free self-guided walking tour will showcase over 100 artists and feature several group exhibitions on Oct. 16 and Oct. 17. (For more information on the tour, go to the special pull-out section) "Hoboken is northern New Jersey's premier culinary and entertainment destination, as well as the home to many of the region's most noted artists," said Mayor David Roberts. "We are combining these two great attributes to produce a week-long celebration of food and arts."
EatArt Hoboken, is co-sponsored by the city, the Hoboken Hospitality Association and the Hudson Reporter, promises to capitalize on the city's noted culinary and entertainment establishments to promote its arts community.
The event kicks off on Monday, Oct. 11 with the Second Annual Great EatArt Waiters Race from 1 p.m. to 3 pm outside City Hall. Many of the participating restaurants will sponsor teams in a quest for the Mile Square Mayor's Cup Trophy.

Commerce Bank will be offering lunch time sampling throughout the week where participating restaurants will sample their delectables within the bank's lobby. Commerce will also be showing work by local artists in their lobby, as well as hosting the Studio Tour wrap party within the bank on Sunday, the 17th.
