Who's to blame for cemetery's condition? is a sad commentary on the "story of Jersey City History" in a local JC paper.I'll tell you who is at fault (Louise Wehrum Carmichael, writer of commentary), the greedy politicians and developers who recklessly destroyed all of our historic past by allowing our history to be torn down, our graveyards destroyed, bulldozers and dumpsters allowed to dump historic remnants of our past to be scattered in garbage dumps. The Light Rail, Goldman Sachs, the City of J.C. and PSE&G have been the most destructive causes of loss of history.
Ms. Wehrum Carmichael, Jersey City is probably the most historic city in the U.S. but guess what, no one cares unless it's on the New York City side of the river. The blame goes back to the 1800s and has continued to the present because we don't have stand-up senators or congressmen who will stand up for Jersey City or New Jersey. Jersey City has to start the fight and demand that we receive our right place in history starting from 1609. Rich Boggiano
