Cat fight on Broadway in Bayonne
Two women were charged with simple assault after allegedly dragging two other women through a cab car window by the hair on May 23.
Police in an unmarked vehicle reported seeing a vehicle leaving the 12th Street Quick Chek at a high rate of speed, heading north on Broadway at about 12:45 a.m.
Following from a few blocks behind, the police said the vehicle veered into the opposite lane of traffic to pull in front of taxi. Then, two women in the car jumped out.
Jessica Ribbeck, 27, of Bayonne, allegedly reached into the rear window of the taxi and dragged a woman out the window by the hair.
Meanwhile, Rhodora Masin, 22, of Jersey City, approached the taxi from the other side and allegedly dragged another woman out.
At this point, the police arrived, identified themselves, and told the two women to stop.
Officers, according to their report, had to physically remove Ribbeck from her alleged victim.
Masin and Ribbeck were charged with simple assault. Ribbeck was later found to have a traffic warrant issued out of Jersey City. Masin, the driver, was issued 10 motor vehicle violations.
The two victims, one age 33, the other age not reported, both of Bayonne, declined medical treatment.
Driver charged with crack possession
Marion Quinn, 43, of Bayonne, was charged with possession of crack cocaine after a motor vehicle stop near Avenue C and 20th Street on May 20.
According to the report, the police stopped the car because it lacked a front license plate.
Further investigation uncovered that Quinn also had a suspended driver’s license and an outstanding traffic warrant. With the search subsequent to the arrest, the police found she allegedly possessed less than 50 grams of alleged cocaine.
Trash in the street leads to arrest
Two Bayonne men were arrested for allegedly throwing trash cans into the street on May 22.
Rander Garcia, 26, and Kenneth Casey Jr., 23, both of Bayonne, were arrested near 31st Street and Broadway at about 1:58 a.m. after police reportedly saw Garcia allegedly throwing trash into the street while Casey allegedly set up a barrier of trash cans in the street. When the police told the men to remove the trash cans and trash, Casey allegedly told the police he would not pick up anything and allegedly began screaming at the officers, and then allegedly punched an officer in the chest with his hands. Both men were charged with disorderly conduct. Casey was also charged with assault and resisting arrest.
