I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the wonderful and generous citizens of Bayonne. The outpour of generosity was overwhelming between the phone calls for pickups, to the dropping off of bags of food to my home. It made me realize there are more good people out there, than bad. All you ever hear is the negative.
This project not only showed me how giving people are, but how they care so much about the welfare of our less fortunate.
Thank you to all the gracious priests and parishioners of all our churches in Bayonne. When I would go to collect the donations, I was shocked to see how so many people helped out. To our supermarkets: A&P and Stop and Shop that never hesitated for my fellow troops and I to stand in the front handing out flyers and collecting food items. To my parents: Who had to store all of these items in our home and all their support throughout this whole project.
Within a months time I will have achieved the highest honor of the Boy Scouts. I will be a proud Eagle Scout and know that I helped my community in a good way.
Thank you again to all.
