As usual, thousands of visitors enjoyed art, music, games, food, and giveaways at Hoboken’s Spring Arts and Music Festival last Sunday. The event was co-sponsored by the Hoboken Reporter. A sunny day lured crowds to sample wares from approximately 300 vendors and artists.
Ian Hunter, formerly of Matt the Hoople, was the headliner in a long lineup of musical acts including Davey and the Train Wreck, the Fuzzy Lemons, New York City School of Rock, and Hoboken’s famed Gene D Plumber. Performers graced three separate stages.
Hungry patrons sampled everything from fudge to fresh lemonade.

Food vendors sold crab cakes, shish-kebab, fudge, and fresh lemonade.
Kids’ entertainers wowed the crowd, and several charities raised funds for causes ranging from stray animals to suicide awareness.
The next fest will be held in the fall, usually early in October.
