Dear Editor:
The Democratic Primary and Hoboken Democratic Committee elections are this Tuesday, June 7. I am enthusiastically supporting the “Democrats for Honest Government” slate in Column C. I urge everyone in Hoboken to support them as well.
Heading the “Democrats for Honest Government” is Hoboken’s own Councilman Ravi Bhalla, who is running for a seat on the state Assembly. Ravi has been a rock solid partner here in Hoboken. For those of you who are not aware, Ravi is an attorney who addresses issues of state and municipal law everyday as a part of his law practice. Like me, he is committed to fiscal responsibility and fighting government corruption. I am enthusiastic about the prospect that he will be Hoboken’s partner in Trenton. He is extremely qualified to serve Hoboken in Trenton and I look forward to that day.
Also running this coming Tuesday in Column C are the “Democrats for Honest Government” slate of Democratic Committee candidates. For folks who are not aware, Democratic Committee members are the grassroots “eyes and ears” of the party. They are responsible in part for notifying party leaders when there are issues in the community that need to be addressed. The Committee candidates in Column C have my full support.
Thank you for voting this coming Tuesday, June 7. Please consider voting for the candidates in Column C, “Democrats for Honest Government.”
Mayor Dawn Zimmer
