HOBOKEN -- The city is offering free parking to residents on River Street while the city continues resurfacing work between Hudson Place and Fourth Street.
Free garage parking will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis in municipal Garage B at Second Street between River and Hudson Streets, and Garage D on Hudson Street between Second and Third Streets.
According to a city spokesperson, residents will be entitled to free parking Wednesday at 8 p.m. until Friday at 12 p.m.
Residents who need to exit a garage via River Street are advised to exit by 8 a.m. Thursday.
Milling work has been rescheduled to the morning hours in response to community concerns. It was scheduled to begin this morning at 9 a.m. with paving work tentatively scheduled for Thursday, May 17. -Stephen LaMarca
