Might I suggest if the mayor would like to continue his political career, he should focus on the issues that matter to Jersey City residents.
We live one block from Mayor Schundler's so-called "Jersey City residence." Our truck was vandalized in December 1999, our car was stolen in February 2000 and we have found numerous used needles and beer bottles in our backyard (near the Pathmark on Grand Street). Surely if Mayor Schundler actually lived in his "Jersey City neighborhood," he would be more concerned about these issues than not being able to see New York's 4th of July fireworks.
Get your issues straight, Mr. Mayor!
