Dear Editor:

I am still in awe over how beautiful the setting was for the Andrea Bocelli Concert held in Jersey City on Thursday, July 8. Yes, it was held in Jersey City at Liberty State Park, adjacent to the historic Jersey City Train Station.

What a beautiful setting for such a successful event! But to be quite frank about it, I, an many other Jersey City residents were quite disturbed with the media coverage.

All of the television coverage constantly refers to Liberty State Park, New Jersey. Yes, it is in New Jersey, but it is more accurately in Jersey City, New Jersey. They all exclude the most important two words of the location--Jersey City.

Q. Where is the Empire State building? Ans. New York City, N.Y.

Q. Where is the Liberty Bell? Ans. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Now

Q. Where is Liberty State Park? Ans. Jersey City, New Jersey!!!!

All Media, especially TV channel 13 who should know better since they were once located in Newark, New Jersey, take heed. Stop slighting the 300,000 or more people who live, work and love Jersey City with arrogant omissions when you refer to the location of Liberty State Park.

Remember--Liberty State Park is in Jersey City, New Jersey.
