Lots to be thankful for Turkey and family give kids a reason to rejoice

Turkey, pumpkin pie, stuffing and special memories are the indelible markings of the Thanksgiving season. Wednesday, third graders for the Connors Elementary School shared some of the things they are thankful for holiday season.

"I'm thankful for my mother and family, 'cause they let me eat turkey and pumpkin pie." - Shakeema High, 8

"I'm thankful for this world that God has given us." - Tiffany Martinez, 8

"Last year we got to invite over my babysitter and that made me thankful." - Diego Roman, 8

"I'm thankful for my brother, my sister, my mother, my grandfather and my grandmother and the fact that they give me so much good food to eat." - Jeremy Morel, 9

"We get to go to the community center and eat turkey and have a huge party." - Roger Vazquez, 8

"I'm very thankful for my friends, and especially thankful for my family." - Jennifer Jimenez, 10
