Always the businessman and gentlemen!!! Lee S. Lichtenberger, Secaucus businessman and North Bergen resident, truly bears the title of a man of business, and is legendary in being a likeable friend and gentleman! While his family name is well-known to the town of Secaucus, Mr. Lichtenberger tells us that he has been a resident of North Bergen for approximately two decades. His venerable father Augustin (Gus) Lichtenberger founded the family insurance business years ago. His father and lovely mother Patricia are still residents of Secaucus.

Today, the insurance company is known as the Lichtenberger Agency LLC, a limited liability corporation in partnership with his brother Roy. A former member of the Hudson County Board of Elections in the 1980s, Lee tells us that he was proud to be the Hudson County Republican Party chairman, also in the 1980s, and that he was proud to have been one of the more successful chairmen within the past 30 years in a Democratic county. He saw his party win three state legislative positions plus two county freeholder positions under the Republican governorship of Thomas Kean during that period!

Lichtenberger looks back sadly upon the passing of now deceased North Hudson County friends, former Freeholder Roger Dorian of Weehawken and former State Assemblyman and Union City Commissioner Ronald A. Dario, who were two of his successful slate candidates for his party.

Today, Lee Lichtenberger, who looks upon business as a lifelong job, tells us that he has been married to his lovely wife Ellen for eight years and he has a son Blake from a previous marriage. He is a proud dad.

Although not as active as he used to be in party affairs, Lichtenberger is presently a state Republican Party elected committeeman.

He also tells us that he has an interest in sports and is a fan of the Nets.

He loves to cook as a hobby and revels in the fact that as a "self-taught" cook, he won a Culinary Arts Award from the Government of Spain's Olive Oil Commission for one of his recipes called "shrimp Andalusia," which Lee says is named after a region of Spain! Would Lee Lichtenberger become a chef and possibly open up a restaurant to further progress his hobby into an avocation??? The answer was "maybe!!!" Mr. Lichtenberger, all the best and buon' appetito!!!...P.S. Hope you had a happy and restful vacation in Canada too!!!...
