On Monday, Dec. 4th, Maxwell's hosted a benefit for Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, a leading veterans group, and Homes for Our Troops, a grass roots organization dedicated to building handicap accessible homes for severely wounded veterans. Both organizations are non-profit and non-partisan.
Local musicians donated their time and talent for a small door donation, and 28 artists donated over 50 pieces of original artwork with 100 percent of sales to benefit these two organizations.
We are two thirds of the way to our goal. So far almost $2,000 has been raised, and the art sale will conclude when the last piece is sold off the wall.
