A lot of comments are passed by the politically astute residents of Jersey City, and that is a good thing. That is what democracy is all about.
I would like to pass on a positive comment on our Mayor Jerramiah Healy. More streets have been paved than any time in a long time. Cops and firemen have been hired at record rates. Property values are up all over the city unlike other areas of America. Problems do exist, and I believe he is in the forefront in confronting these issues. A lot of problems in Jersey City are created by a bad home life with no guidance from parents. Kids hanging out at all hours of the evening should not be the problem of the city. Parents need to tame their kids, and I think a lot of crime will go down that way.
On a final note, I would like to applaud the mayor for being a family man and still married. A lot of politicians today are divorced, and I believe are setting very poor examples for the public. As a father of two boys under two and another on the way, it is refreshing to see a mayor who handles his family and the city in a very positive and sincere way. There is no flash or smoke and mirrors with Jerry unlike a lot of politicians.
