Send a message against cruel campaign tactics and against flooding

Dear Editor:

I recently read two articles that I believe have much meaning to our 4th Ward Council election. One article included a quote from Eleanor Roosevelt to the effect that a candidate needs a very thick skin in a political campaign. The other referred to individuals making a difference in addressing global warming by electing candidates one by one who are focused on the environment.

Well, with the low-end campaign being waged by Campos, Dawn Zimmer certainly must have thick skin. Secondly, unlike Campos, Dawn is focused on our environment by showing great concern about potential flooding and not taking contributions from those that oppose remedies that would benefit citizens of this ward.

We the voters in the 4th Ward need to send a clear message to Campos and his ilk that we do not agree with such negative campaigning, we do not agree with having an ex-felon from Jersey City in our town running his campaign and bashing its citizens, we do not agree with the ex-felon using people with outstanding warrants to paste insulting posters in our ward, we do not agree with his catering to the needs of the special interests of his major campaign donors. We need to send Campos and his ilk the very clear message that what we do agree with is having someone who will work with all constituents in the 4th Ward, who will work on the environmental concerns as well as address every day life issues - a mother, a wife, a working woman, a home owner - please vote for Dawn Zimmer on November 6th.
