I am happy and proud to support my friend, Dawn Zimmer, as Hoboken's next Mayor. I have worked closely with Dawn, and know the commitment, intelligence, and integrity she brings to everything she does. She is exactly what Hoboken needs to lead us in the difficult challenges we now face. We also need a leader that we can trust to recruit those we need to steer this great city in the right direction. If you had any doubts, just look at the team she has picked - Carol Marsh, Ravi Bhalla, and David Mello, each with a record of fighting for a better Hoboken. All four deserve your vote this Tuesday.
When I first met Dawn Zimmer, she was already serving on the Board of Kaplan Pre-School. When I joined the board, Dawn showed me the ropes and helped me in every way she could. One of Dawn's great strengths is how well she works with all kinds of people in all kinds of situations. Dawn never asks "what's in it for me." She's always asking "what can I do to help."
My most recent encounter with Dawn's commitment and integrity was when I was considering my run for the Board of Education. I confided in Dawn early on, she kept the confidence and encouraged me through every step, and when I made my decision to run promised to help me in "any way she could”, always true to her word, I knew she would, so it came as no surprise to me that Dawn and her team put their own campaign on hold to work for better schools.
With the help of my great running mates, and so many supporters, I was successful and now am working as a Board of Education member to improve Hoboken's schools. Other than my family, that is my first priority. But I still pay taxes, still battle traffic, and still worry about what kind of town Hoboken will become. On Tuesday I'll be voting and actively working for Dawn Zimmer and the team of Marsh, Bhalla, and Mello, because I believe that they are the solution we need to get our great city on the right track. I ask you to join me.
With kind regards,
