Dear Editor:

My name is Michael Goldberg and I am Team Cammarano's Volunteer General Counsel. I have known Peter Cammarano for the past five years. He is not only a close friend, but a person I professionally respect. Recently, I have had the opportunity worked closely with Mr. Cammrano and his council slate, Angel Alicia, Vincent Addio, and Raul Morales. I truly believe Hoboken would greatly benefit from their leadership over the next four years. That is why I will be casting my vote for Team Cammarano on June 9.

However, unlike other letters you may read, I am not going to persuade you to vote for one candidate or another based on my opinion or beliefs. I want you to make your own decision once you have all the relevant information. In other words, I want you to be an informed voter.

Go to each candidate's headquarters. Mr. Cammarano's is at 119 Washington Street and Ms. Zimmer's is at 619 Washington Street. Speak with each candidate. Ask him or her some questions and listen to the answers.

Afterward, watch the Hoboken Reporter's Debate (http://www.HudsonReporter.com/pages/multimedia) and the Our Lady of Grace Debate (http://www.HobokenPOG.org or on Channel 78). These debates represent each candidate’s vision of Hoboken past, present, and future. The debates also show how each candidate will act under pressure (an event no doubt to occur often during the next mayor’s tenure). Listen how each candidate answers the questions and watch their body language.

Also, go to each candidate's website (Mr. Cammarano’s website is www.Cammarano09.com and Ms. Zimmer’s website is www.ZimmerForChange.com). Read each candidate’s blueprint for the future of Hoboken and various community endorsements. Perhaps even watch some videos.

Congratulations. You are an informed voter. Now ask yourself the following questions: (1) Which candidate, Peter Cammarano or Dawn Zimmer, would you feel more confident with leading Hoboken over the next four years? (2) Which candidate is better equipped to handle the unexpected? (3) Which candidate is more qualified, competent, and professional? (4) And finally, during a crisis, which candidate do you want on your side fighting for Hoboken?

Whichever candidate, Peter Cammarano or Dawn Zimmer, you honestly answered to the four questions above is the candidate and council slate you should vote for on June 9th.

Sincerely,

Michael Goldberg
