New train to Meadowlands to launch Monday

Gov. Jon Corzine will accompany officials and guests on an inaugural train trip for NJ TRANSIT’s new rail line linking Hoboken Terminal and the Frank R. Lautenberg Station at Secaucus Junction to the Meadowlands Sports Complex.

The trip will be capped by a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new Meadowlands Rail Station, marking a new convenient travel option for customers attending major events at Giants Stadium.

The ride will begin Monday at 1:25 p.m. at the Hoboken Train Terminal. It will depart Secaucus Junction at 1:40 p.m. and arrive at the Meadowlands Rail Station at 1:50 p.m.
