Jersey City Councilman Steven Fulop was a featured guest Monday on WNYC-AM's The Brian Lehrer Show.
Fulop talked about Downtown Jersey City waterfront development, the July 23 corruption arrests, the recent passage of the redevelopment pay-to-play ordinance, and his disagreement with Gov. Jon Corzine over Corzine's hesitance at calling for those Jersey City officials arrested to step down from their political posts.
Fulop's appearance was part of Lehrer's special radio series, "30 Issues in 30 Days," which looks both the New Jersey governor's race and the NYC mayor's race. You can hear Lehrer's Monday show with Fulop at the following link: http://www.wnyc.org/shows/bl/episodes/2009/10/05/segments/142043.
Speaking of mayors, Fulop himself is considered the early "frontrunner" for the 2013 Jersey City mayoral election, which the Jersey City Reporter will look at in this coming weekend's edition. -- RK
