On May 1, hundreds of local residents enjoyed a Family Health Fair at St. Joseph of the Palisades Church in West New York. Palisades Medical Center and St. Joseph of the Palisades Church teamed up to sponsor the fair, which featured free health screenings and information, as well as free activities and attractions for children.



All health screenings and evaluations were open to the public and were be provided free of charge. Health information was provided in English and Spanish and bi-lingual medical professionals were on hand to answer questions. Health test and screenings included Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar, Cholesterol Testing; Peak Flow, Heart Rate and Percentage of Oxygen in the Capillary Blood, Body Mass Index, HIV Testing, Oral Cancer Screening, and Breast Exams.



Children also enjoyed the Family Health Fair because it featured many games and activities, including a bounce house, face painting, taekwondo and karate demonstrations, and much more.



St. Joseph of the Palisades Church is located at 6401 Palisade Avenue in West New York, NJ. Palisades Medical Center is located in North Bergen, NJ, and serves a population of 400,000 in Hudson and Southern Bergen Counties.
