Of Point Pleasant (formerly of Bayonne); on Monday, February 28, 2011; husband of Mary (nee: Maguire); father of Leonard T. Safford III and wife Linda Safford, Dr. Katherine and husband Joseph Ramus, and Mary and husband Christopher Curioli; also survived by 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; son of the late Catherine (Martin) and Leonard Safford; brother of the late Edward Murphy and Lillian Berry. Funeral services were held from the PABLE-EVERTZ Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, N.J. Interment Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
