The baby, who sustained multiple traumatic injuries to her body including a skull fracture, was found on June 10 and is currently recovering in a New York City hospital.
The mother is a special education teacher on leave from Memorial High School in West New York and has two other children.
According to the report publicized online, Hudson County Prosecutor Edward DeFazio said the woman will face charges of aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and child abuse when she is released from psychological evaluation at Jersey City Medical Center.
