Tropical Storm Irene could become Hurricane Irene, first Atlantic hurricane of season

It's been a quiet hurricane season so far, hasn't it? Maybe too quiet. The National Weather Service says Tropical Storm Irene is growing in strength as it nears Puerto Rico and could become Hurricane Irene. The track after that is uncertain, and could threaten the East Coast.

Meanwhile, another potential storm is forming off the coast of Africa.
