I don’t believe petition fraud allegation

Dear Mr. Paulson:

It was with true disappointment that I read your letter. Petitions are checked with the city clerks office, have an address and telephone number on them and they are verified. No signature from Queens, or without an address is accepted, therefore no one could have been trying to fraudulently attain signatures. It does not work!!! I, for one, looked for the people that were out in the rain, getting signatures signed, so the people of Hoboken would not have their voting rights changed without a consensus of the voters. As the Hudson reminded us, voters in Hoboken wanted May to be for commission voting, so as not to get mixed up in National Elections. The commission is supposed to work for the citizens of their district. This timing reminds them of this fact and prevents them from hanging onto the coat tails of politicians that do not work directly for Hoboken.

So in other words, you DO believe that the petition was routinely misrepresented as having to do with the Path fare hike.

Thanks for being honest.
